Write It Down

Oh my gosh! 

I thought I had fallen three or four weeks behind and after checking the calendar TWICE I have to admit that I haven't written for SIX WEEKS. I've let myself down and anyone who had gotten used to reading my posts. It's time to reset and restart one more time before I lose any momentum I once had.

It actually explains a lot. I've said all along that public accountability and writing about my week has been a key component of my healthy edge. It stands to reason that when I lost track of writing I started to slowly gain weight again. The two activities seem to be connected for me.

During the last six weeks I was enrolled in ZUMBA and stuck to my salad bar lunches. I also went on a vacation trip to Mazatlan that included all the chips, salsa, and margaritas I would ever want. 

I won't even try to recap all the ways I dropped the ball. If I don't record them weekly it all seems to become a blur.

I've started to take my long walks again this weekend and I'm ready to lose 20 pounds before my birthday vacation trip to Vegas for a family reunion.  If you see me messing up, please just look me in the eye and say "write it down... "  I'll know what you mean.

New weight as of March 21st - 272.2 lbs
Weight lost to date - 53.8  lbs.
