Kellogg's Crackers Box
When you Gain by losing.

If you've been following along, you know by now that I've given up on dieting. That's right. I figured out that the first three letters of the word diet make a word that I don't want anything to do with. Instead, I've decided to focus on healthy choices that I can "live" with. So I"m on a liveit. If you want to know more about that, you can check out the post I made in week 27.

Regardless of your perspective - whether you are on a diet or a liveit - if you are like most of us you might be trying to reduce the weight you are carrying on your body. We're doing what we can to eat healthier foods, manage the quantities we eat, and find ways to burn more calories along the way. We know what we want to lose, to release, to eliminate. All that is pretty clear and drives what we think about. But that's only half of the equation.

Yesterday, while relaxing at our lake house and reading all the vital information on a box of Kellogg's Special K Multi-Grain Crackers, I discovered something that caused me to think about the rest of the equation. On the back of the box was a question:

"What will you gain when you lose?"

That's actually a far better set of outcomes to focus on isn't it? What will I gain?

I'm sure the list could be a long one. With just a few moments thought I came up with these. When I lose, I will gain self-confidence, strength, time, stamina, years, experiences, freedom, mobility, health.
How would you answer?

Thanks Kellogg's for a thought provoking use of packaging.
